PORT ANGELES – The interim executive director of the Port of Port Angeles will get the job permanently.
This week, port commissioners voted to direct staff to draft a contract and salary schedule for Paul Jarkiewicz to take over the top job. Jarkiewicz had been acting as the interim executive director since early last month when his boss suddenly resigned.
Prior Executive Director Geoff James returned from vacation the first week of June and said he was stepping down immediately after leading the port for a little over two years.
