BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Cascadia Daily News in Bellingham reported Monday that a 20-year-old Sequim woman was visiting friends in Bellingham when she went missing about a week ago.
According to members of her family, Samantha Rivers suffers from bipolar disorder and may be a danger to herself. She was released from a local hospital and was staying at Lighthouse Mission’s Base Camp shelter, where her phone was stolen, and her father Sean Rivers lost contact with her.
For several days, Rivers, who lives in California, said he has been combing the streets of Bellingham for his daughter, speaking with homeless people who may have seen her, and putting up missing posters to get the word out.
Samantha Rivers is around 5’10”, weighs 110 lbs., and has short reddish-pink hair with bangs. The missing poster states she may not have shoes.
She also has several noticeable tattoos, including a grim reaper on her forearm. She was last seen near 1200 Washington Street in the Lettered Streets neighborhood around Tuesday, Aug. 29.
