Local Sports Update

The Port Angeles Roughriders football team finally were able to knock off the Sequim Wolves 37-10 at Sequim Friday night. The Wolves had won the last 7 games. The Roughriders will now host the Olympic Trojans Friday night, and that will have major District Playoff implications. Olympic was blown out by Bainbridge Friday night. Kickoff at Civic field is at 6:30 pm and Newsradio KONP will have the live broadcast.

The Wolves will try to regroup traveling to Kingston to take on a struggling Buccaneer team. Kick off is at 6:30 pm.

There is swimming action today, the Roughriders are at home with Bremerton with the start time at 3 pm.

In tennis action the Roughriders host Bremerton and Sequim will host Bainbridge. Both matches start at 4 pm.

In NWAC soccer action Bellevue upset the Pirate men 2-1 and the Pirate women ended in a 1-1 tie with the Bulldogs.
