SEQUIM – Many people, especially in the eastern part of Clallam County, reported feeling an earthquake last night.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network recorded a 4.3 magnitude earthquake at 7:21 p.m., south of Port Townsend, between Indian and Marrowstone islands at a depth of about 35 miles.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the intensity was classified as “light shaking.” But there were many reports around the region of people certainly notiing it. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
This is the largest earthquake in Washington in four years. Back in summer of 2019, there was a 4.6 magnitude quake.
