LOCAL SPORTS: Sequim shuts out PA in soccer, volleyball

PORT ANGELES — In soccer action last night, the Sequim Wolves came away with a convincing 3-0 win over the Port Angeles. Jenny Gomez scored 2 goals and Kiley Winter scored a goal with assists from Raimy Brewer and Taryn Johnson. The Wolves are now 8-1 on the season the Roughriders fall to 5-5. The Wolves will host Olympic tomorrow night at 6:45, the Roughriders will host North Mason at 7:15 pm.

In volleyball action, Sequim swept Port Angeles 3-0.  The Wolves are 7-3 on the season the Roughriders fall to 3-7.

There is swimming action today with Sequim traveling to Bainbridge with a 3:30 pm start and the Roughriders will host East Jefferson at 3 pm.

In tennis action, the Roughriders travel to Sequim with the first serve at 4 pm.

There is middle school football today, Sequim 3-0 will host Port Townsend and Steven’s 1-2 will travel to Forks. Both games kickoff at 4 pm.

Both Sequim and Port Angeles will celebrate Homecoming Friday night. The Wolves will be big favorites over North Mason with the kickoff at 7 pm. The Roughriders will be big underdogs against Bainbridge with their kickoff at 6:30 pm.
