PORT ANGELES – No one was hurt when fire ripped through a house west of Port Angeles.
Crews were called about 1:30 Saturday afternoon to the house on the corner of Bean Road and Lauridsen Boulevard.
The structure was first reported as an abandoned structure. But neighbors reported there were up to three squatters on site. Port Angeles Police officers determined that two of the three known occupants were out. Later it was learned the third was not on the property. Firefighters from Port Angeles Fire Department and Clallam 2 Fire Rescue worked to contain the fire and keep it from spreading to nearby homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
