PORT ANGELES – A Port Angeles man is in jail after two drive-by shootings over the weekend.

Late Friday afternoon, Clallam County sheriff’s Office deputies responded to report of a drive by shooting in the 100 block of Finn Hall Road east of Port Angeles. Victims reported that while they were horseback riding, they heard a speeding vehicle approach them. They yelled to the driver to slow down and a few seconds later the two victims heard three gunshots. One of the victims reported that they saw three muzzle flashes emitted from the driver’s window. Another witness provided home security footage of the incident, in which deputies were able to determine a suspect vehicle.

Then Saturday, Port Angeles police responded to a similar drive- by shooting. According to a witness, the driver of a truck, similar to the earlier incident, fired at another motorist around the intersection of Park and Peabody.

Law enforcement set up a perimeter and a deputy saw the suspect vehicle head east on Highway 101. It pulled into the Port Angeles Walmart. That’s where 31-year-old Seth Weathers was arrested. Investigators say he had a 9 mm handgun concealed and ammunition in the gun matched casings found at both drive-by shootings.

Weathers was booked into the jail for two counts of drive-by shooting and one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

No one was hurt in either of the shooting incidents.
