40-year-old David Burgess of Sequim, the man wanted in the torching of a house on Hooker Road while someone was inside, among other charges, was taken into custody by Deputies in the 1900 block of Palo Alto Road at about 8pm last night.
Investigators say a brief foot chase ended in his surrender to Deputies after being told he was about to be Tasered.
The manhunt for Burgess began on December 23 after witnesses say he assaulted and threatened to kill someone, stole a vehicle and, 3 days later, lit a house and a car on fire. The occupant of the house escaped the fire without injury.
Burgess is being held on theft and multiple assault charges. He is scheduled to appear in Clallam County Superior Courtroom II at 1:00pm today.
