In high school basketball action Friday night, the Sequim Wolves’ girls were red hot scoring 73 points. It was a good thing because the defense gave up 66 points. Bobbie Mixon led the way with 25 points. Jolene Vaara hit for 19 points. Gracie Chartraw hit for 17 points and Hailey Wagner had a career high of 8 points.
The Sequim boys threw away a great chance of securing the #4 district spot in a frustrating 64-61 loss at North Mason. The Wolves had too many unforced turnovers and did not play any defense on the perimeter allowing the 3 Bulldog sharp shooters to take wide open 3-point shots. Keenen Green was red hot scoring 21 points. Solomon Sheppard hit for 16 points and Charlie Grider scored 12 points.
