PA Community Awards announced

PORT ANGELES  — At a packed house this past Saturday evening, the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce announced top community award winners in each of six categories during an annual gala dinner.

The winners were:

**  Emerging Business of the Year was awarded to Kindred Collective (Becky McFarland and Stevie Boggard).  Finalists were Grocery Outlet and Mix It Shack.

**   Business of the Year was awarded to Pacific Office Equipment (Tom Baermann).   Finalists were North Olympic Healthcare Network and Olympic Electric.

**   Educator of the Year was awarded to Port Angeles High School teacher Stacey Sanders.   Finalists were Jarrett Hansen and Everett Young.

**  Organization of the Year was awarded to the Oxford House.  Finalists were the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club and Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

**  Young Leader of the Year was awarded to Kennedy Cameron.   The finalists were Laken Folsom and Jeremy Gilchrist.

**   Citizen of the Year was awarded to Jeff Bohman for his years of work benefiting the Olympic Discovery Trail.   Finalists were Michael Gentry and Randy Johnson who have both served and volunteered in our community over the years.

The Saturday evening ceremony was held for the first time at the new Field Arts and Events Hall in downtown Port Angeles.
