SEQUIM – The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced the winner of their Citizen of the Year award, and the winner is…Renne Emiko Brock.
Brock is well-known as a perennial volunteer for numerous organizations, but topping the list of her accomplishments in that area would have to be her work as the producer/sponsor of the First Friday Art Walk, and her directorship of the Annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival. Brock has led both of those efforts for the past 18 years.
Describing herself as an artist, instructor, superhero, and advocate of awesomeness, Brock has also been teaching video and computing skills, along with graphic and web design, at Peninsula Community College since 2008.
