SEQUIM – One person was airlifted from the scene after a small car and semi-truck tangled on Highway 101 east of Sequim.
It happened about 4:30 pm yesterday near Louella Road. The State Patrol says Susan Posner of Brinnon pulled to the shoulder, then tried to make a U-turn back on the highway. That’s when her Ford Focus was hit by an oncoming semi-truck.
Posner was Life Flighted to Harborview, her condition unknown.
The crash and investigation led to miles-long backups on the highway lasting for nearly two hours.
