PORT ANGELES — After signing three highly decorated soccer stars from the Yakima Valley, Peninsula College men’s soccer Head Coach Jake Hughes went international over two oceans to sign two European and one Asian soccer recruits.
From Kyoto Japan comes Issei Fujiwara. From Lancashire U.K comes Jamie Joyce and From Wuppertal Germany comes Jermie Kuelo.

In high school soccer action, the Roughriders lost to Klahowya 3-1. Caleb LaGrange scored the only goal for the Roughriders.

In fast pitch action, the Roughriders knocked off Gig Harbor 6-4. Heidi Leitz went 3 of 4 with 2 singles, 1 double and one RBI. Natalie Robinson went 1 of 3 with a double and a RBI. Lexie Smith went 2 of 4 with 2 singles, and 2 RBIs.
On the Mound Heidi Leitz earned the win pitching 7 innings with 11 strike outs. The Roughriders travel to Issaquah today with a 4:15 start.
