Man sought in Port Angeles armed robbery

PORT ANGELES – The investigation continues into an armed robbery of a Port Angeles discount store.

Monday afternoon a man wearing a face covering and brandishing what appeared to be a black semi-automatic weapon, entered the Dollar Tree store east of PA.

Undersheriff Loraine Shore says the suspect waved the gun around, then pointed it at two employees and told them he wanted the money, or he was going to shoot them.

During this time, the suspect fumbled with the handgun causing two 9mm bullets to fall to the floor. The suspect ordered a clerk to sit down while the night shift manager opened a safe and gave him two cash register trays of cash totaling $1,894.00. The suspect then exited the store and left in an unknown vehicle with an unknown direction of travel.

Investigators are still looking for more information and haven’t made an arrest. You can make an anonymous tip at:  https://www.clallam.net/cnmaster-c/nwformeml.php
