Sequim utility customers will see billing changes with City’s computer conversion

SEQUIM — The City of Sequim Finance Department is in the process of converting utility billing to a new system, and that means, starting in a couple of weeks, things will look a little different from what customers are used to.

The conversion will impact customer utility accounts and online access as the new system goes live in late April and early May.

Staff say all customers, regardless of whether they have signed up for “paperless” status, will receive a paper bill for the month of April, billed on May 1, but those bills will likely be sent five to seven days late.

The look of utility bills will be different, and customers will have a new account number.

Online billing and payments will be unavailable for a few days in late April or early May to allow implementation of the new Utility Billing Online Portal.

Customers who prefer paperless billing and making payments online will need to re-register on the new Online Portal.

The City of Sequim will provide additional information as the new system is implemented.  Please contact the Finance Department at (360) 683-4139 with questions.
