Two hurt in crash east of PA

PORT ANGELES – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 101 near the Baker dip early Tuesday morning at approximately 5:33 AM.

Upon arrival, responders found two heavily damaged vehicles and both drivers suffering from injuries. According to initial investigations, a westbound vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle traveling in the same direction.

The injured were taken to Olympic Medical Center for further treatment. One of the injured was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Meanwhile, the wreckage prompted the dispatch of two tow trucks, and the Washington State Patrol was summoned to conduct accident reconstruction.

As investigations continue, authorities anticipate referring the case to the Prosecuting Attorney for potential charges.
