It’s time for the 129th Sequim Irrigation Festival, and the fun starts this weekend with Crazy Callen Weekend! Here is a list of just SOME of the activities that you can enjoy while you are out and about:
Sequim High School’s Operetta, a long standing tradition during the Irrigation Festival, opens tonight at 7PM, with their fantastically choreographed and sung musical, “The Adams Family”.
The First Friday Artwalk tomorrow will take place in downtown Sequim starting at 5pm.
Saturday, May 4th, brings Family Fund Days to Carrie Blake Park in Sequim, including the innovative Arts and Crafts Fair, opening at 9AM, Live Entertainment all day long, The Kids parade at 11:30, A TRASHION Show featuring recycled fashion beginning at 5:30 pm and culminating in the Community Concert and Dance featuring the amazing Joy in Mudville starting at 7PM.
On Sunday, May 5th, Family Fun Days continue with more entertainment, more games, and the Sequim City Band playing at 3PM.
Of course the main event, the Grand Parade, will be Saturday, May 11th in Downtown Sequim, as well as the incredible Classic Car Show which will be set up in the grassy area at Fort Discovery along E. Washington Street. The parade starts at Noon, but be prepared for some streets to be closed starting about an hour before the parade.
The Sequim Irrigation Festival is the longest continuous festival in the state of Washington. This marks it’s 129th Year.
