PORT ANGELES – Few new details have emerged in the month-long investigation into a fatal police-involved shooting in downtown Port Angeles.
38-year-old Joseph Jacob Hadden of Port Angeles was shot by Port Angeles police officers after they encountered what officials called a “lethal threat” when they responded to a hold-up alarm at the Chase Bank branch. Hadden died at the scene on May 3.
Detectives with Kitsap County, which is handling the investigation, say a witness they were seeking last week who had been at the bank’s ATM has been identified and is in contact with investigators.
Investigators are still awaiting lab results on other key pieces of evidence, including a toxicology report.
Detectives are still seeking information from the public and encourage anyone with information related to the case to contact the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
