PORT ANGELES – A suspected prowler may or may not be wounded after being shot at by a Port Angeles resident in the wee hours of Monday.
Port Angeles Deputy Police Chief Jason Viada reports that at about 1:00am officers responded to a report that the occupant of a home near 7th and “N” Streets heard a prowler in the back yard, armed himself, went outside to investigate, and found the prowler.
The homeowner reports that when the suspect ran at him, he fired four shots at the prowler who then fled on foot.
Viada said Monday afternoon the investigation is ongoing, and it is not known if any of the bullets struck the prowler.
