PORT ANGELES — Just as crews were finishing up their efforts from a previous fire in the Six-Pack area earlier Saturday, Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue was dispatched to another fire on Sisson Road. When they arrived, they discovered fire burning through grass and brush, posing an immediate threat to two nearby houses.
Firefighters were able to swiftly knock down the fire and protect the threatened structures. No one was in the homes at the time of the fire.
Investigators found evidence of a previous burn pile in the grass and several discharged fireworks scattered across the lawn.
