Clallam PUD offering $200 credits to qualifying households

CARLSBORG, WA – The Washington State Department of Commerce is partnering with local utilities, including Clallam Couty PUD, to distribute funds to help low- and moderate-income households pay their electricity bills. The credit is applied directly to the customer’s utility bill, but you have to sign up to get it.

The Clean Energy Credits for Washington Families Program offers bill credits of $200 per household to eligible residential customers until September 15.

Clallam PUD residential customers can visit wacleanenergycredits.com to learn more and apply. Have your account number ready. Customers who do not have internet access or are having difficulty with the application can call the PUD’s customer service team at 360-452-9771 or 800-542-7859.

The PUD says some customers may also receive a text message from the Washington State Department of Commerce and the company Promise to apply. Promise is a software company that works with state and local governments to distribute aid funds to utility customers.
