LAKE PLEASANT – The Lake Pleasant Community Park Piling Project is almost complete, enough so that the park has been reopened.
The Clallam County Parks Department announced Friday that while some final details are still to be completed in the coming weeks, the work will not significantly affect public access to the park and the lake.
Parks Director Don Crawford credits the contractor, Quigg Brothers of Aberdeen, for completing the project four days ahead of schedule. He also praised Bucks Northwest Landscaping and his Parks staff for their efforts to get the dock segments reinstalled after two and a half years of storage.
A storm in November of 2021 damaged the docks, but after securing funding through the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office and permits through Fish and Wildlife, the county closed the park on July 15 for repairs.
