PORT ANGELES – Today is election day. Through yesterday, 30 percent of Clallam County voters had returned their ballots.
According to elections officials, just over 17 thousand of the 57 thousand ballots sent out last month had made it back and were processed at the courthouse.
Voters are narrowing down a number of races with the top two vote getters heading to the general election.
Many voters are also deciding a levy lid lift for Olympic Medical Center. Clallam Two Fire Rescue is asking for two tax measures. One would lift its levy lid, and another would establish a separate levy to fund EMS.
Ballots must be postmarked by today or dropped off at an official drop box before 8 pm tonight.
