PASD announces school tours in support of upcoming levies

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District will have two bond measures on this November’s ballot, and they are inviting voters to tour the high school and see for themselves why the funds are needed.

These tours offer a unique opportunity to experience the current state of the school and learn about future improvement plans.

The tours are scheduled to take place on October 17 and 24. Each tour will begin at 6:00 PM and last around 45 minutes, providing a firsthand look at the facilities, including classrooms and other key spaces that would benefit from bond funding.

Proposition 1 would be the renewal of the current EP&O Levy. It would replace the expiring levy to fund educational programs not covered by state funding, such as music and athletics.

Funds from Proposition 2 would be used to replace Franklin Elementary School and to renovate Port Angeles High School and Performing Arts Center.

To attend a tour, RSVP by contacting Casey McDonald via phone or email. (cmcdonald@portangelesschools.org) (360) 565-3702
