SEQUIM — Sequim’s radio station at 104.9 FM, previously known as KZQM, has rebranded with new call letters, KZEG.
However, the station will continue to identify on-air as Z104.9 and maintain its popular “Classic Hits” format, which has been its hallmark since launching in 2018.
Owner Brown Maloney explained that the change aims to reduce confusion with Sequim’s KSQM 91.5 FM. He decided to make the switch and noted that distinct call letters will benefit both stations.
Along with the new call letters, Z104.9 has introduced a fresh morning show lineup, debuting “The Anna and Raven Show” from 5 to 10 a.m., Monday through Saturday. The show promises a lively mix of parenting insights, relationship advice, and pop culture discussion. Highlights include “Couples Court” at 7:40 a.m., where listeners help settle disputes between couples. Classic hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s will continue to feature throughout the show.
