Four high school basketball games are scheduled tonight featuring the Port Angeles Roughriders and Sequim Wolves.

Sequim Boys at North Mason
The Sequim Wolves boys’ basketball team travels to North Mason to face the 2-1 Bulldogs. The Bulldogs previously lost to Fife, 63-57, but defeated Orting, 64-40, and Port Angeles, 73-70. Last year, the Wolves fell to North Mason, 64-41, struggling to defend against three-point shooting.

This season, the Wolves have looked dominant, winning their first three games. Solomon Sheppard is averaging 23 points per game, and Jericho Julmist is close behind with 20 points per game. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. The Wolves return home Friday night for a challenging matchup against Bainbridge, which will be broadcast live on KONP Newsradio.

Port Angeles Boys at Bainbridge
The Port Angeles Roughrider boys travel to Bainbridge tonight. After losing a league game at home to North Mason, the Roughriders aim to avoid an 0-2 start in league play. Last year, Port Angeles won both matchups against a Spartans team that finished 12-7.

The Roughriders will need to contend with 6’5″ power forward Luca Scheltens, a standout football player for Bainbridge, along with 6’3″ senior Charlie Hall and 6’2″ senior Luke Johnson, who are potent scorers.

Port Angeles will look for big contributions from senior point guard Gus Halberg (21 ppg), 6’9″ sophomore Brock Hope (15 ppg), and 6’3″ senior Keatyn Hoch (10 ppg). Bainbridge enters the game at 1-2, including a narrow 53-50 loss to unbeaten Olympic (4-0).

All eyes will be on the paint tonight as Roughriders’ 6’9″ sophomore Brock Hope goes up against Spartans’ 6’5″ senior Luca Scheltens.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast live on KONP Newsradio. The Les Schwab Tires Pre-Game Show begins at 6:45 p.m., with tip-off at 7 p.m. Oly Archibald and Joe Gladfelter will provide the play-by-play.

Port Angeles Girls Host Bainbridge
The Roughrider girls (1-2) host the Bainbridge Spartans at 7 p.m. Despite having size, experience, and athleticism, scoring remains a challenge for the Roughriders.

Bainbridge has faced tough competition, losing to 3A Issaquah (79-31) and 2A powerhouse Archbishop Murphy (66-35), but earned a decisive win over Olympic (65-35). The Spartans are led by 5’10” senior guard Bella Ramirez, considered one of the league’s best players, and 6’2″ sophomore Anna Rowe.

The Roughrider girls will face Olympic League MVP candidate, 5’10” senior Bella Ramirez, this evening.

Sequim Girls Host North Mason
The Sequim Wolves girls (1-1) host the undefeated North Mason Bulldogs (3-0) tonight at 7 p.m. The Wolves will also face Bainbridge at home this Friday night, with the game broadcast on KONP Newsradio.

Bowling Action
In bowling, Sequim faces Bremerton, while Port Angeles takes on Klahowya. Both matches begin at 2:45 p.m.
