PORT ANGELES – Phyllis Bernard, a commissioner-at-large for Olympic Medical Center (OMC). She submitted her resignation last week.

She joined the OMC board in July 2023. However, Barnard was appointed as Clallam County Public Utility District (PUD) Commissioner for District 3 in April 2024, succeeding the late Jim Waddell. She won election to that spot in last fall’s elections.

OMC has not yet announced plans for selecting a replacement for Bernard on the board.
