LOCAL SPORTS: Busy Day for Spring Sports; Former Roughriders Shine in College Baseball

PORT ANGELES — There is a full schedule of spring high school sports today.

In baseball action, Sequim travels to Kingston, and North Mason takes on Port Angeles at Civic Field. The first pitch for both games is at 4:15 p.m.

In golf action, Bremerton is at Port Angeles, and Sequim travels to North Kitsap. The tee times are at 3:00 p.m.

In soccer action, Kingston is at Sequim, and Port Angeles is at North Mason. Both matches kick off at 7:00 p.m.

In tennis action, Sequim is at Kingston, with the first serve at 4:00 p.m.

Former Roughrider Wyatt Hall is having an outstanding senior season in sun-kissed San Bernardino, California. Hall is playing center field for Cal State San Bernardino, an NCAA Division II school. The Coyotes are 11-5 in conference play and 19-7 overall.

Hall has started 22 games and is hitting .288, with 19 hits, 20 RBIs, 1 double, 2 triples, 26 walks, 4 stolen bases, and 2 home runs, including a grand slam that can be seen in the video on the KONP Newsradio Facebook page.

Former Roughrider Wyatt Hall is hitting .288 and the starting Center fielder for Cal State San Bernardino.

Another Roughrider having a great senior season is Ethan Flodstrom, who is playing in the outfield for NCAA Division II Angelo State, a member of the Lone Star Conference in San Angelo, Texas.

Flodstrom has started 24 games, hitting .367 with 29 hits, 31 runs scored, 22 RBIs, 28 walks, 7 stolen bases, 7 doubles, and 1 home run. The Rams are 18-6 in conference play and 20-6 overall.
