PORT ANGELES — Peninsula Pirates men’s basketball coach Bryce Jacobson has signed his first high school recruit for the 2025 season: athletic 6’5″ shooting guard Parker Lambert from Middleton, Idaho.
Lambert led the 5A Middleton Grizzlies to the Idaho State Tournament and a 15-11 record during his junior season.
A multi-sport athlete, Lambert also played football and competed in the high jump. Unfortunately, he missed his senior year of basketball due to a knee injury sustained in football.
Coach Jacobson believes the Pirates landed a major under-the-radar recruit due to Lambert’s absence from his final season.

Middleton High School’s 6’5″ shooting guard Parker Lambert has committed to the Peninsula Pirates men’s basketball team. A three-sport athlete, Lambert brings athleticism and versatility to the Pirates’ roster.

The Peninsula Pirates women’s soccer team has added two highly decorated student-athletes: Cailey Ridgeway of Gig Harbor High School and Tayen Munger of Kingston High School.
Ridgeway was named a 2024 3A PSL 2nd Team Narrows Division selection and was a four-year starter for the Tides. She carries a 3.5 GPA.

Cailey Ridgeway of Gig Harbor, a left-wing scoring machine, has signed to play with the NWAC champion Peninsula Pirates women’s soccer team.
Munger, a standout defender for the Kingston Buccaneers, was a teammate of Ridgeway on the Kitsap Alliance FC club team, which won the 2024 State Championship and qualified for the National Tournament in Hawaii.
Known for her toughness, Munger also shines on the wrestling mat—she won the Olympic League 127 lb. championship and earned a trip to the Mat Classic at the Tacoma Dome.

Former Kingston Buccaneer soccer standout Tayen Munger has also signed with the Pirates. A defensive star on the pitch, Munger is also an Olympic League wrestling champion.
