Carlsborg – Today’s latest scam alert comes from Clallam PUD, who said Thursday they just had received a call from a customer in the Diamond Point area that someone came to their house representing as a PUD employee, telling the customer they had to make a payment to avoid disconnection.
The imposter took the PUD customer’s credit card number and left.
You need to know that PUD employees do not take payments “in the field”. PUD officials said you can always ask to see their ID badge if you question any sort of interaction.
PUD officials were not able to provide us with a description of the imposter.
