Williams Throws No-Hitter as Roughriders Shut Out Kingston
PORT ANGELES — Junior pitcher Kody Williams delivered one of the top accomplishments in sports last night — a complete game no-hitter — leading the Port Angeles Roughriders to a 6-0 win over Kingston.
Williams went the full seven innings, striking out four and walking just one. Known around Port Angeles High School as a respectful and well-liked student-athlete, Williams has been dominant on the mound this season.
With the win, the Roughriders moved into third place in the Olympic League at 7-6. They can clinch the third spot with a win over Kingston today at Civic Field.

Meanwhile, Sequim — tied with Olympic at 6-7 — will be rooting for Kingston. The Wolves shut out Bremerton 4-0 behind strong pitching, and a Roughrider loss combined with another Sequim win would result in a tie for third place.
Roughrider baseball historian Todd Angevine believes the last Port Angeles pitcher to throw a complete game shutout was Travis Paynter in 2016, though the record is not confirmed. Listeners are encouraged to share any information on the KONP Newsradio Facebook page.
Today’s game is Senior Night for 11 Roughriders. Coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. on KONP Newsradio and streams live at myclallamcounty.com. First pitch is at 4:15, with Oly Archibald and Bill Bates on the call.
