PORT ANGELES – The City of Port Angeles will begin nighttime paving work on 8th Street between Lincoln Street and A Street next Monday-Wednesday. Construction will run nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During work hours, 8th Street will be fully closed in the construction zone. Signed detours will direct traffic around the area. Access for residents between the 8th Street bridges will remain open via alternating closures on Cedar and Pine Streets.
The road will reopen each morning by 6 a.m.
The project includes milling and repaving 8th Street and resealing both 8th Street bridges to extend their service life.
Drivers are instructed to reduce speed, follow posted signs, and comply with directions from traffic control personnel.
