DUNGENESS — The U.S. Coast Guard continued searching overnight and into early Wednesday morning for a person believed to have fallen from a kayak near Dungeness Spit.
A distress call was received around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday from an individual reporting they were in the water. A search was immediately launched.
The Coast Guard asked for help from mariners transiting the area and asking them to remain alert for any signs of distress or the missing individual.
Searchers plan to be out again today.
