Here’s Sequim’s agenda for the Fourth of July celebration

SEQUIM — The City of Sequim has announced its plans for the Fourth of July.

The Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 4 will take place at the Water Reuse Site on the north side of Carrie Blake Park.

The Sequim City Band will kick off the celebration at 3:00 p.m., performing a free concert at the James Center for the Performing Arts, honoring a long-standing 4th of July tradition.

The 133d Army National Guard Band is set to deliver a family-friendly concert featuring popular pop and rock hits at 4:00 p.m. in the Terrace Garden. At 5:30 p.m., Casey Freedom will perform, bringing a new take on traditional Americana and folk music. Headlining the event, Great American Trainwreck will take the stage at 8:00 p.m., presenting a blend of bluegrass, southern rock, and classic country music. KSQM FM 91.5 will broadcast live between musical performances.

Family-friendly activities will be provided throughout the day.

The event will culminate with a 15-minute professional fireworks show at 10:00 p.m.

Food, beverages, and sweet treats will be available on-site for purchase throughout the day. A beer and wine garden will be in operation for those over the age of 21.

Carrie Blake Park will have many amenities available, including horseshoe pits, a bocce ball court, shuffleboard, gardens, off-leash dog park, pickleball courts, playground, ponds, and more.
