OMC Foundation’s “Hog Wild” raises $86K for local pediatrics and scholarships

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Medical Center Foundation’s “Hog Wild Goes to the Moulin Rouge” fundraiser brought in more than $86,000 Saturday to support local health care and scholarships.

The 12th annual event, held at Field Hall and presented by North Olympic Healthcare Network and Kitsap Bank, raised $86,500 for the OMC Pediatrics Clinic and the OMC Foundation’s Scholarship Fund.

The evening featured an auction led by Andrew McMasters and performances from Port Angeles favorites Black Diamond Junction; alongside Martha Enson of Seattle’s EnJoy Productions.

Enson was one of four Can Can dancers who delivered high kicks and flair in traditional frilly petticoats, accompanied by Terry Crane’s acrobatic Cyr wheel routine and the soulful vocals of Seattle singer Caela Bailey.

This year’s event also welcomed the Trey Green Guild as a new fundraising partner for the OMC Foundation. The guild, which has raised $1 million for Seattle Children’s Hospital, will now assist in supporting care for the North Olympic Peninsula’s youngest patients.
