SEQUIM — A Jefferson County man has been arrested and booked into the jail on murder in connection with the death of Richard Madeo, following a May 6 incident in the 500 block of West Washington Street in Sequim.
Sequim Police said 36-year-old Aaron Fisher was taken into custody July 23 at a residence in the SeaTac area. The arrest was carried out by Sequim officers and the Special Investigations Unit, a multi-agency task force operating in King County.
Fisher was initially arrested at the scene on May 6 and charged with second-degree assault. He was exonerated of those charges and released. After Madeo died, the case was reviewed further by the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office. A report from the King County Medical Examiner later confirmed the manner of death as homicide.
A warrant was issued by Clallam County Superior Court, and Fisher was booked into the King County Jail before being transported to the Clallam County Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $500,000 with arraignment August 1st.
Police say the investigation remains active, with detectives reviewing video evidence and conducting follow-up interviews.
