PORT ANGELES — The 13U Olympic Babe Ruth All-Stars have qualified for the Babe Ruth World Series in New York, after winning the Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament. Now, the team is working to raise funds needed for the cross-country trip, with just a few days to cover travel and lodging expenses.
The group of 13 players will represent the Pacific Northwest region at the national tournament. The cost of airfare, hotel accommodations, uniforms, and tournament fees is significant, and families have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help close the funding gap.
Organizers say the campaign has seen early support, but additional contributions are needed to secure transportation and accommodations ahead of next week’s departure.
