PORT ANGELES — Music, food and fun will bring the community together on Saturday, Aug. 30 in Port Angeles.
Jammin’ in the Park returns to Pebble Beach. The free, family-friendly festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is hosted by Nor’Wester Rotary and Koenig Subaru. The annual event is designed to celebrate the community with live bands, a car show, food vendors, a beer and wine garden, and plenty of activities for kids.
Local favorites Supernostalgic, Black Diamond Junction, Mars Garden and Professor will provide music throughout the day.
Community support plays a big role in making the event possible. Sponsors range from local businesses and tribes to banks and service providers, with proceeds from food and drink sales helping fund scholarships for local students and Rotary projects.
Meantime, the Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles will host the fourth annual John Burkheimer Memorial Car Show & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Clallam County Fairgrounds.
Gates open at 9:30 a.m. for a day featuring live music, classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, rat rods, imports, and a chili cook-off. The event also includes vendors, drawings, a 50/50 raffle, and BBQ burgers and hot dogs by donation.
Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family, with children under 5 free. Proceeds benefit local youth programs.
