PORT ANGELES — A major police response in Port Angeles Monday had neighbors talking — but officers aren’t saying much.
Multiple Port Angeles Police and Clallam County Sheriff’s units were spotted around North Jones and Columbia Street — a quiet residential area not far from the Olympic Medical Center and the former Rayonier mill site
Deputy Police Chief Jason Viada confirmed only that “significant resources” were involved in what he called an active, ongoing investigation.
“I can confirm that significant LE resources were in that area this morning as part of an ongoing, open, active investigation,” Viada told Newsradio KONP. No other details have been made available. There’s been no word on what triggered the response, whether anyone was hurt, or if there were any arrests.
