PORT ANGELES — Clallam County has selected Aspen Smith as its new Fair and Special Event Coordinator. Smith, a lifelong Port Angeles resident, began her duties on September 16 after being chosen from a field of five finalists. No internal county employees applied for the role.
Parks, Fair and Facilities Director Don Crawford says Smith brings more than a decade of experience in customer service and sales. She previously worked as an operations manager and a licensed Realtor in Port Angeles and Sequim. Most recently, she served as Catering Sales Manager at Red Lion Port Angeles Harbor and 48 Degrees North, planning and executing a variety of community events
In her new role, Smith will oversee production and marketing for the annual Clallam County Fair, while also coordinating fairground events throughout the year. She will be based at the county courthouse during the off-season, with scheduled time at the fairgrounds.
