PORT ANGELES — The Parks & Recreation Department is rolling out new parking rules and improvements at Lincoln Park starting today.
The parking lot next to the Loomis Building is now reserved for groups, activities, and special events scheduled through the department. A new gate has been installed and will be opened only during those events to make sure attendees have access.
For everyday visitors, the city has also added 20 new general parking spaces just north of the Loomis Building, at the site of the former tennis courts. The new spaces provide easy access to the ponds and surrounding park areas.
Officials say the changes are designed to balance daily park use with community events, keeping Lincoln Park accessible for everyone.
