Firefighters Join Sequim Domino’s for a Slice of Fire Safety

SEQUIM — A local pizza delivery could come with flashing lights and firefighters this week in Sequim.

Sequim Domino’s, is teaming up with Clallam County Fire District 3 and the National Fire Protection Association to promote Fire Prevention Week, which is this week.

On Wednesday night, from 5 to 7 p.m., a few lucky customers who order a pizza might have it delivered by a fire engine. If their smoke alarms are working, their pizza is free. If not, firefighters will install new batteries—or even replace the alarms—on the spot.

Domino’s franchise owner Aman Singh says it’s a fun way to reward customers who take fire safety seriously while helping others make sure their alarms are working.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is “Charge Into Fire Safety,” focusing on the safe use of lithium-ion batteries in the home. Domino’s will also include fire safety flyers with every pizza delivery, offering tips on buying, charging, and recycling those batteries safely.

To take part, customers can call Sequim Domino’s at 360-582-1600 and order as usual. And who knows—your pizza might just arrive with a fire engine at your door.
