PORT ANGELES — It’s a big night in soccer as both the Sequim Wolves and Port Angeles Roughriders wrap up their regular seasons.
For Port Angeles, a win on the road tonight against a tough Kingston team — combined with a Bainbridge win over North Kitsap — would create a second-place tie between the Roughriders and the Vikings.
Sequim, meanwhile, needs a win at Bremerton to boost their RPI and improve their chances of hosting a district playoff game.
If Port Angeles and North Kitsap do end up tied for second, the Roughriders would battle for the fourth and fifth district playoff spots. The No. 4 seed earns a first-round bye, while the No. 5 seed would host a first-round game Saturday against the No. 12 seed.

Port Angeles standouts Lilly Anne Lancaster, Emma Desjardins, and Allison Fricker — who combined for four goals against Bremerton — will look to stay hot tonight against a tough Kingston squad.
If the Wolves land the No. 8 seed, they would also host Saturday — facing the No. 9 seed. There’s even a chance Port Angeles and Sequim could end up playing a district doubleheader at Peninsula College.
In volleyball action, 5–7 Port Angeles travels to 6–7 Kingston, while 10–3 Sequim visits 0–12 Bremerton.
In football, the 3–5 Sequim Wolves host the 6–2 North Mason Bulldogs Thursday night. North Mason features the top-scoring offense in the league, averaging 35 points per game while allowing 18.
The Bulldogs are led by senior running back Caden Atencio, who’s rushed for 1,320 yards — averaging 7.6 yards per carry — with 19 touchdowns. Quarterback Danner Jones, a 6’2″ senior, has completed 68 of 125 passes for 956 yards, eight touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Junior wide receiver Derek Dunham has 19 catches for 380 yards — an average of 20 yards per reception — and five scores.
The Wolves, who started the season 3–0 in non-league play, have since dropped five straight league games. Their non-league opponents have a combined record of 6–18.

Sequim senior Andrew Keeler (rigth), a two-way starter at tight end and defensive end, will suit up for his final game as a Wolf Thursday night against North Mason.
And former Roughrider soccer standout Zoe Ernst is having a strong freshman season at Lower Columbia College. Playing as a defender for the Red Devils, she’s appeared in 15 games with four starts, averaging over 20 minutes per match. LCC is 5–7–5 on the year.

Former Roughrider Zoe Ernst is enjoying a strong freshman season with the Lower Columbia College women’s soccer team.
