PORT ANGELES – Drivers in Port Angeles will notice some changes starting today as work begins on the city’s 16th Street stormwater project.
Crews will be upgrading the stormwater filtration systems at 16th and C Streets to help clean up runoff before it reaches Tumwater Creek and Port Angeles Harbor.
The intersection will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, and the sidewalk will be closed too — but businesses in the area will stay open. Detours will be marked for both vehicles and pedestrians.
The city expects to have the project finished by mid-December.
