
PORT ANGELES — In high school bowling action, Port Angeles swept Sequim 7–0 and won total pins 1,551 to 1,212.
Zoey Van Gordon led the Roughriders with a high game of 175 and a two-game total of 322.
Kenadie Ring rolled a two-game score of 285, Leilah Franich finished with 272, Brooklyn McKnight posted a single-game 159, and Izzy Spencer added a 152.
Sequim was led by Sarah Alhdad with a two-game score of 226.
In NWAC women’s basketball, the Peninsula Pirates earned their first win of the season, blowing out Highline 66–37 in Burien. Peninsula suited up only seven players again due to injuries.
One key returner was 6-foot Aspen Fraser from Herriman, Utah, who delivered 12 points and 12 rebounds in her Pirate debut.
But it was 6-3 sophomore Alecsis Smith of Bay City, Michigan, who dominated—scoring 29 points and pulling down 15 rebounds.
Freshman Marly Myers continued her strong start with 9 points and 8 rebounds.
The Pirates are off until Friday, December 5th, when they host Chemeketa on opening night of the three-day Pirates Classic.
