Sequim – Santa’s Toy and Food Fire Brigade will once again light up the night in Sequim this year, thanks to fire and rescue personnel from Clallam County Fire District 3, and a whole lot of Santa’s helpers.

The annual charity event kicks off on the evening of Monday December 8, from 5:00 to 8:00pm in the downtown section of Sequim, and will continue for 4 nights in a row in a different neighborhood until Thursday, when the antique fire engine dressed up in lights will lead the way through Sunland.

Residents are encouraged to come out to the sidewalk with donations of toys and nonperishable food, where Santa and his helpers will collect your donations along the way.

One of those helpers is Jeff Albers, who told KONP what you can expect to see and hear in your Sequim neighborhood.

“A caravan. Fire engines, some fire vehicles, you’ll see lights, there’ll be sirens, tons of Christmas music. You’ll see Santa. Santa is out there, so come on out and visit good Old Saint Nick. And then, on top of that, there’s a lot of helpers, a lot of career and volunteer fire personnel, and their spouses, and their families. They come on out and we help. It’s a great event for all of us to get together and, you know, be out there amongst our community.”

On the final day, Friday the twelfth, the whole brigade will post up at Walmart in Sequim, also from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
