Port Angeles – One of the suspects in last December’s armed robbery of the Frugals restaurant in Port Angeles was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison on Thursday in Clallam County Superior Court.

36-year-old Anthony Reynolds was sentenced after pleading guilty to first degree robbery with a deadly weapon enhancement, second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and theft of a motor vehicle. He was arrested on June 21.

Charges are still pending against the second suspect, Burton Brown. Brown is currently in custody on unrelated charges after being arrested in Lewis County.

On December 5, 2024, after closing time, Frugals staff reported they were robbed at gunpoint by two men who had their faces covered. The guns were pointed at the two employees, forcing them into the bathroom. The suspects demanded one of the employee’s vehicle keys and stole his vehicle to flee the scene.

In his statement to the court Deputy Prosecutor Matt Roberson credited the thorough investigative work of the Port Angeles Detectives who worked the case.
