
PORT ANGELES — In flag football action, the Sequim Wolves picked up two more wins, shutting out Olympic 29–0 and edging Kingston 14–7.
Against Olympic, Ruby Moxley Horgan ran for a touchdown, while quarterback Lily Sparks threw scoring passes to Kylie Winter and Raimey Brewer. Winter also added a rushing touchdown. Defensively, Xyla Reichner recorded an interception, and Sophie Berglund had a strong night on defense.
In the 14–7 win over Kingston, Sparks again connected with Winter for a touchdown, and Ruby Moxley Horgan sealed the game with a pick-six.
In high school basketball tonight, both Port Angeles teams are in action, with very different outlooks.
The Roughrider boys tip off at 7:00 on the road against defending state champion Bremerton, which comes in at 10–1. The Knights are led by 6-foot-3 junior Jalen Davis, who is averaging 31 points per game and has a season high of 51. Davis is ranked by the CBS 24/7 recruiting service as the 18th-best player in the nation and the second-best combo guard nationally. He already holds 13 Division I offers, including Gonzaga, Washington, Stanford, USC, and Houston. Bremerton is winning by an average of 33 points per game.

Bremerton’s 6-foot-3 junior Jalen Davis is averaging 31 points per game and is ranked as the second-best combo guard in the nation.
Meanwhile, the Roughrider girls host Bremerton, which is 1–8 and losing by an average of 25 points per game. After the Roughriders’ big win at Bainbridge on Wednesday, Port Angeles appears well positioned to continue its strong run through Olympic League play.
In NWAC action, the Peninsula Pirates host Whatcom for a doubleheader on Saturday. The Pirate men, coming off an impressive 84–82 overtime win at Shoreline, tip off at 2:00, followed by the Pirate women at 4:00.

Peninsula College high-flyer Cinco McNeal, a graduate of Mojave High School in Las Vegas, leads the Pirates at home against Whatcom on Saturday with tipoff set for 2:00 p.m.
