Sequim – The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Citizen of the Year award, Humanitarian Award, and a brand new category, Emerging Leader Award.
The Emerging Leader Award is for outstanding young people, aged 16 – 24 during the award year (which is 2025), who have made significant contributions to the community that go beyond their educational or employment requirements. Unlike the other two awards in this program, voting for this award will be done by a committee selected by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
The Citizen of the Year committee, who vote on Citizen of the Year and the Humanitarian Award, is made up of former winners of the award.
Up to three finalists and only one winner may be chosen for each of these awards.
Nominations must be completed and received no later than midnight on Sunday, February 1. The application and guidelines can be picked up in paper form from the Visitor Information Center, or online at sequimchamber.com/coty/.
Results will be announced on February 24th at a luncheon event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
