SEQUIM — The North Olympic Library System will close its Sequim Temporary Location on Feb. 1 to begin moving operations back to the renovated branch at 630 N. Sequim Ave.

A reopening date for the expanded library has not been announced but is expected in February. The temporary site, located at 609 W. Washington St., will remain open for holds and returns from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout February. Return boxes will remain accessible 24/7.

The original branch closed in March 2024 for a $10.7 million renovation and expansion, adding 10,000 square feet and new amenities, including an outdoor stage. The project was funded primarily through state timber revenue, community donations, grants, and library reserves.

Most programming will pause in February, with select events relocated. Free Wi-Fi at the temporary location will no longer be available after the closure.
